Cristina Palmer joined Gelber Schachter & Greenberg, P.A. following a two-year clerkship with United States Chief Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman in the Southern District of Florida. During her clerkship, she assisted Judge Goodman with both civil and criminal cases.
Prior to working with Judge Goodman, Cristina served four years as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. There, she prosecuted a wide variety of felony and misdemeanor offenses; handled numerous jury trials; and represented the State of Florida in a wide variety of hearings.
Cristina earned her Juris Doctor as well as a Certificate of International Law from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. As a law student, she interned for the Honorable Adalberto Jordan in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Honorable Edwin Torres in the Southern District of Florida.
Prior to attending law school, Cristina graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University, where she majored in International Affairs and English: Editing, Writing, and Media.
Cristina, a native Miamian born to Cuban refugees, is fluent in Spanish and lives in South Miami. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Florida’s eco-tourism with her dog, Leo, and going to the movies.
