Anna Blanco joined Gelber Schachter & Greenberg, P.A. following a clerkship with United States Magistrate Judge Eduardo I. Sanchez in the Southern District of Florida.
Before clerking, Anna was an associate at a prominent international law firm based in Boston, where she represented clients in federal and state courts in various complex commercial litigation matters as well as government and internal investigations. As part of that role, Anna also maintained an active immigration practice representing asylum seekers and was awarded the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project 2024 Outstanding Service Award for her work.
Anna earned her B.A. in Economics and Latin American Studies, summa cum laude, from Boston University, and her J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. During law school, Anna served as an editor on the Boston University Law Review, a teaching assistant for the LLM Legal Research and Writing course, and an extern for United States District Judge Patti B. Saris in the District of Massachusetts.
Anna was born in Cuba and grew up in Miami, and is fluent in Spanish. In her free time, Anna enjoys reading novels, watching movies, and spending time with her family and friends. She lives in Miami with her husband and their dog.
