Daniel Walsh

Daniel Walsh joined Gelber Schachter & Greenberg, P.A. following a two-year clerkship with United States Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman in the Southern District of Florida. During those two years, Daniel assisted Judge Goodman with managing a wide-range of civil and criminal cases.

Before clerking, Daniel spent four and a half years as a prosecutor at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, finishing his tenure in the Career Criminal and Robbery Unit. As a prosecutor, Daniel tried more than thirty jury trials, serving as lead counsel in the majority of those cases. In addition to his trial work, Daniel represented the State of Florida at bond hearings, pretrial hearings, sentencings, and in appellate matters.

Daniel earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. While at Georgetown, Daniel served as a research assistant for Professor Paul Butler and researched a variety of issues related to the criminal justice system.

Daniel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Barry University, where he was a goalkeeper for the men’s soccer team. Daniel lives with his cat in Coral Gables.
