David J. Petrantoni

David Petrantoni joined Gelber Schachter & Greenberg, P.A. after serving as a law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Eduardo Sanchez in the Southern District of Florida.  As a clerk, David assisted Judge Sanchez on a wide variety of civil and criminal cases.

David earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was selected as a member of the Miami Scholars Public Interest Scholarship Program. While in law school, David worked as a research assistant for Professor Ricardo Bascuas and competed as a member of University of Miami Trial Team.  He also served as a member of the Miami Law Innocence Clinic, President of the Society of Bar & Gavel, and Submissions Editor for the University of Miami Race and Social Justice Law Review. Additionally, David earned the Dean’s Certificate Award in the course “Wrongful Convictions.” Prior to law school, David received a Bachelor’s Degree in Greco-Roman Classics and Political Science and a Master’s Degree in American Politics and Public Policy from Florida State University, as well as a Graduate Certificate in National Security and Intelligence from Florida International University.

Originally from Tarpon Springs, Florida, David resides in Miami with his wife and daughter.
